Firefighters from multiple towns responded to a brush fire in Ledyard that spanned about 7 to 8 acres.
The fire broke out off Avery Hill Road Saturday afternoon, the fire department tweeted. Crews responded just after 1 p.m.
The fire is under control and crews have cleared the scene.
Area fire departments responded for mutual aid.
