A family is safe after fire broke out at their Burlington home on Thursday night.
Neighbors alerted the family at 7 Intervale Road when they saw smoke or flames and everyone was able to get out OK, fire officials said.
Several jurisdictions provided mutual aid, including Harwinton and New Hartford, because the house is in a remote location and there is a lack of hydrants.
