A Connecticut man who beat his girlfriend to death while apparently under the influence of angel dust has been sentenced to 33 years in prison.
The New Haven Register reports that 39-year-old Frank Moore pleaded guilty to a murder charge rather than risk a longer sentence if convicted at trial.
Authorities say Moore beat 31-year-old Georgette Alston in the apartment they shared in June 2013.
Police responded to the home after getting a phone call from someone who said a man he knew from church named Frank had called and told him he had killed his girlfriend.
Police say Moore had blood all over his clothes and a broken hand.
Moore told police he did not remember beating Alston because he had blacked out after taking angel dust.
