Fire crews examine a plane that skidded off a runway at Sikorsky Airport Friday. No one was injured.

Stratford emergency crews responded to a plane the went off the runway at Sikorsky Airport Friday.

The plane's brakes caught fire during a test on the ground, according to airport officials.  No one onboard the twin-engine Beech Baron was injured.

The plane is owned by REM Air Company in Delaware, according to registration records.

Sikorsky Airport has two runways, so the airport remained open during the mishap.
