People across 45 states, including Connecticut, have dreams of winning $400 million when the Powerball numbers are drawn tonight.
The jackpot has been growing since Aug. 7, when a man in Minnesota won the $448.4 million prize.
If the prize remains at $400 million, the cash value for tonight's drawing will be $223.6 million.
If you play, then you know your chances to win the big prize are slim – just 1 in 175 million.
But many of us will hand over $2 or more anyway because someone will win eventually.
After all, it would not be unfounded for someone in Connecticut to win.
In 2012, there was one jackpot winner in Connecticut who won $60 million.
In 2011, a group in Greenwich won $252.2 million.
Good luck if you win.
