Sandy Hook Advisory Commission to Review Recommendations

The panel Gov. Dannel Malloy created to review school safety, mental health and gun violence prevention policies after the Newtown school shooting will be meeting on Tuesday morning and will review its recommendations.

The Sandy Hook Advisory Commission is scheduled to meet this morning to discuss the draft language proposed by groups writing up recommendations on mental health, safe school design and operation, as well as law enforcement.

The 16-member panel has met 24 times since January 2013 and delivered its interim report in March 2013.

The meeting starts at 9:45 a.m. in Room 1B of the Legislative Office Building.
