"Eclipse" has another new vampire.
Kirsten Prout has been cast as the vampire Lucy in the third installment of "The Twilight Saga," according to E! Online. Her character will figure prominently in the back story of Jasper Hale, played in the films by Jackson Rathbone.
The actress is best known for her role as Amanda in ABC Family's "Kyle XY." She also starred alongside Jennifer Garner in 2005's "Elektra."
Production on "Eclipse," which is slated for a May 2010 release, is well underway. Other new additions to the franchise for the third installment include Xavier Samuel, BooBoo Stewart, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Bryce Dallas Howard, who replaced Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria.
But fans won't have to wait long for more "Twilight" — the next film in the series, "New Moon," is due on November 20.
