Ivy Bistro Opens in New Haven

Ivy Noodle owner Coreen Guo has just opened Ivy Bistro, an inexpensive Asian outpost for Yalies and New Haven locals at 302 Winchester Avenue. According to the Yale Daily News, Ivy Bistro debuted on Wednesday with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by New Haven Mayor John DeStefano Jr.

It's the first restaurant to take up residence in the Science Park Garage, a Yale University Properties development in the Munson Street Triangle. The location still has 25,000 square ft. of unoccupied retail space and developers hope that the move will usher in a tide of new eateries. Ivy Noodle has been a mainstay on the New Haven food scene, particularly among college students, due to its no-frills, low-priced fare. Noodle dishes, vegetable plates and dumpling platters dot the menu, and all items are priced comfortably below $10, wth most falling in the $4-$6 range.
