A 16-year-old was hit by a car in Waterbury on Thursday afternoon and she has been taken to the hospital.
Police said the teen was struck just before 1 p.m. at the intersection of Meriden and Pierpont roads and she was taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital.
Her injuries are not life-threatening, police said.
Waterbury police are investigating.
