Police Identify Victim of Fatal Hartford Shooting

Authorities have identified the man shot and killed in Hartford's second homicide of the year as 28-year-old Bryan Williston.

Police found Williston suffering a gunshot wound to the head outside the Stowe Village Mini Mart at 2739 Main Street. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he later died, police said.

The shooting happened around 1:10 p.m. Saturday. Main Street was closed at the intersection of Kensington Street in Hartford while authorities investigated.

A 26-year-old man was also shot. Police said he was taken to the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds to the arms and legs. He's listed in stable condition and has not been identified.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating.

Authorities said the shooting was not related to the Hartford St. Patrick's Day parade, which took place simultaneously in a different area of the city.

Police said a  number of people were in the area and fled when they heard gunfire.
