Police are investigating after three family members were struck by a car while crossing Boston Avenue in Bridgeport around 5 p.m. on Friday.
One of the family members, Jayden Szabo, 4, died from injuries sustained, according to police.
The boy’s uncle, Michael Szabo Jr., and his grandfather Michael Szabo Sr. also were hit and were taken to Bridgeport Hospital, police said.
Police have identified the driver as Luis Pagan, 21. No charges have been filed.
Police said he reported that he swerved to avoid another car that cut him off.
