7 Accused in Firehouse “Prank” Gone Wrong

What’s being called a firehouse prank seems to have gone wrong and several people, including five firefighters have been charged.

Back on Sept. 27, a member of the Quaker Hill Fire Department was duct-taped to a board and shot with an air gun, the Day of New London reports. Police said it started as a practical joke, the newspaper reports.

Police started investigating on Sept. 29 and seven people, including two teenagers, have been charged.

One of the teens was released on a $30,000 bond and was due in court on Wednesday.

Kyle Mordick, 21, of Quaker Hill, Alexandra Tosi, 22, of East Haddam, William Betters IV, 28, of Uncasville, and Daniel O’Connor, 54, of Quaker Hill, were charged with second-degree conspiracy to commit unlawful restraint and risk of injury to a minor. They were all released on $500 bond and are due in court on Dec. 28.
