Bristol Man Sexually Assaulted Teen: Cops

He met the 14-year-old online, police said.

Police charged a Bristol man with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl he met online Tuesday.

Officers arrested David Feeny, 45, of Bristol with first-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor for the alleged attack on the teen in Stratford.

Feeny and the girl began chatting on the internet and by text messages July 6, according to Stratford Police. He sent the girl a text message asking her to meet him somewhere in Stratford early Tuesday morning, police said. When she left her home sometime after midnight, Feeny allegedly attacked the 14-year-old and sexually assaulted her. One of the girl's relatives interrupted the attack, police said.

Officers found Feeny at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford where he was admitted for an unrelated issue and took him into custody. He is being held on $750,000 bond.
