One person was transported to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries after an early morning fire at a rest home in Litchfield.
Fernwood Rest Home residents were evacuated after the 6:30 a.m. fire Sunday at the 400 Torrington Road facility.
The fire was contained to one room, according to Torrington fire officials.
Police have not released the identity of the injured party.
Litchfield, East Litchfield, Bantam and Torrington fire departments responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.
