Plainfield Police Search for Oxycontin Robber

The man handed the pharmacist a note demanding “Oxy” prescription pills and that he had a gun.

Plainfield police are looking for the man who robbed the CVS pharmacy on Lathrop Road on Sunday evening.

The man walked into the pharmacy at 5:15 p.m. and handed the pharmacist a note demanding “Oxy” prescription pills and that he had a gun, police said. 

He ran off through the woods toward Dow Road and Norwich Road, Route 12, possibly to an awaiting vehicle, police said. 

The Norwich Police Department K9 unit tried to locate the man but was unsuccessful.

Police said the man is approximately 5-feet- 8 to 5-feet-10, 20 to 30 years old, with a thin build and short brown hair.
