Someone's Lucky for Life

A “Lucky for Life" ticket sold somewhere in the state is worth $1,000 per day.

Someone who bought a lottery ticket in Connecticut is very lucky.

A “Lucky for Life" ticket sold somewhere in the state is worth $1,000 per day.

"If you have the combination of 3-9-10-11-34 with a Lucky Ball number of 19 on your April 30 drawing ticket, you've just won $1,000 a day, every day, for the rest of your life!" Anne Noble, president and CEO of the Connecticut Lottery said in a statement released on Tuesday morning.

The prize is paid on a weekly basis, so the winner will receive $7,000 a week (pre-taxes) from the state lottery for as long as he or she lives.

This is the first winning Lucky for Life ticket sold in Connecticut since the new game was launched on March 11.

Two people in Connecticut were $2,000 winners and 26,470 tickets sold in the state won between $4 and $100.

Tickets and prizes expire 180 days from the date of draw and you must redeem the ticket in the state where you purchased it.

Lucky for Life tickets are $2 each and you can purchase them in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Drawings are held every Monday and Thursday at 10:38 p.m.

The lottery encourages winners to sign winning tickets immediately to establish ownership.
