Squantz Pond in New Fairfield remains closed today because of water quality.
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has sent out the state swimming area water quality report and said Lake Waramaug in Kent has reopened, but Squantz Pond State Park remains closed. The water will be retested today and results are expected tomorrow.
All other swimming areas at state parks and beaches are open.
