State police responded to a crash involving several cars on the southbound side of the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield, but the scene is now clear.
State police said four cars were involved in a crash between exits 46 and 44, just over the Trumbull line, police said.
No injuries are reported.
Traffic was backed up to exit 48 as of 6:39 a.m., but has since cleared.
