Yale Takes Care of Military Vets

The school of medicine is taking part in a program called "Joining Forces."

Yale's School of Medicine is taking part in a special program that teaches students how to better serve military veterans.

The intiative is part of a White House program called "Joining Forces." 

The goal is to train the next generation of doctors to better understand and treat traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder and other problems.

Yale has promised to provide specialized training for students, develop research and share its findings with federal agencies.

Yale joins six other medical colleges across New England taking part in the program.
