Travel Agent Arrested Again

Farmington police find more victims of alleged fraud

Maria Klemyk, the owner of Colonial Travel, was charged with larceny on Friday, accused of bilking customers out of $13,000 they thought would get them to the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships in Japan.

Last August, Farmington police charged Klemyk with stealing $90,000 from customers who wanted to go to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada.

"Looking at the website, it looked legitimate," Lt. Marshall Porter said. "I think people were just taken.  Ultimately, they never received any of their money back."

Klemyk was released on $5,000 bond and is to appear in court on Jan. 17.
