A 54-year-old Moosup woman is dead after a collision with a school bus in Plainfield on Monday afternoon.
Edward Henderson, 51, of Moosup, lost control of his SUV in the 300 block of Starkweather Road at 12:17 p.m., police said, and collided with a school bus that was heading north.
Nancy Henderson, the passenger in the SUV, was brought to William W. Backus Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
A 5-year-old student was on bus when the crash happened. Neither the student nor the driver was injured.
Police said the crash is under investigation.
