DMB Tickets Go on Sale Friday

The summer staple for many in Connecticut, the Dave Matthews Band tour is back for the 2010 summer.

DMB kicks off its American summer tour with two nights in Connecticut’s very own Comcast Theater in Hartford.

Davematthewsband.com announced on Tuesday that the tour starts off this spring in Europe, and the band will land on the Comcast Theater stage on May 28 – just in time for Memorial Day weekend.

If this tour turns out to be like any of the band’s previous tours and musical endeavors, it is sure to be a hit.

This year, Dave and his band are promoting their album “Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King,” which is nominated for both best rock album and album of the year at this year’s Grammy awards, MSN reports.

As far as album of the year goes, the band has some stiff competition going up against Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor Swift and the Black Eyed Peas.

“Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King” marks the band’s 13 and 14th Grammy nominations, according to DMBNews.net. DMB is also scheduled to perform at this year’s Grammy awards.

Concert tickets for the summer tour go on sale to the general public on Friday. And if you’re a DMB fan, be sure to check out if the band takes home a golden gramophone (or 2) on Jan. 31.
