Milford police have arrested a cleaning woman who is accused of stealing a credit card from a client and charging more than $1,000 on it.
Police started investigating in December when they received a complaint about several unauthorized charges on a Milford resident’s credit card.
As investigators looking into it, they identified the suspect as Noemi Nieves, 36, of Bridgeport, who worked for a home cleaning service and was hired to work at the victim’s home, police said.
She is accused of making $1,286.47 in unauthorized purchases and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Nieves was charged with fourth-degree larceny, credit card theft, receiving goods by illegal use of a credit card and Illegal use of a credit card.
Bond was set at $5,000 and she is due in court on April 28.
