Firefighters extinguished a blaze in downtown Middletown Sunday afternoon.
The fire was at a home on Portland Street. Crews responded at approximately 5:15 p.m.
When firefighters got to the scene, they saw an awning on fire and the flames were working their way into a second floor apartment window.

The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Officials said there was only minor extension and they opened up windows and ventilated.
