Connecticut Water issued a boil water notice for 125 customers in Griswold due to an equipment issue, but that has been canceled.
Connecticut Water officials said the issue affected customers of the Bay Mountain water system, which included residents on Bay Mountain Drive, Juniper Lane, Old Shetucket Turnpike, Rixtown Road and Youngs Road.
Officials said the issue caused a loss of pressure throughout the system. The boil order was issued as a precaution while the company tested the water to make sure no bacteria contaminated the system during the failure.
Lab results said the water quality was not affected and the water is safe to drink.
