Guests Drug, Rob Host of Party in New Britain: Police

Police have arrested a woman and a teen who are accused of drugging a New Britain resident during a party and stealing a gun and jewelry from his house.

The resident contacted police on Nov. 7 and told police he threw a party the night before, woke up disoriented the next day and suspected someone slipped him some type of drug during the evening.

Then the victim realized that several things were missing, including a firearm and jewelry.

Police identified several of the people who had been at the party, including 21-year-old Makaylarea Amber Perez, of East Hartford, and a juvenile.

Police said Perez, the juvenile and another accomplice gave the victim narcotics to rob him.

Perez and the juvenile were arrested Thursday.

Perez was charged with conspiracy to commit home invasion, burglary in the first degree, assault in the second degree, larceny in the second degree, theft of a firearm and reckless endangerment.

The juvenile was charged with conspiracy to commit home invasion and home invasion and detained at Hartford Detention.
