Ricky Houghton and Justin Walas were offering quite a sale on diesel fuel, $2 a gallon while everyone else was paying $4, police said.
That’s because they stole it from a home heating fuel from a company in Thompson, police said.
Houghton, 47, of Dudley, Mass., and Walas, 25, of Plainfield are accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of fuel.
Police started investigating when gas disappeared from the company, but not in the traditional way.
Houghton and Walas have been released after posting bond and more arrests are expected.
