State police are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 95 South in Stratford Thursday night the highway was closed for a little while Friday as they took photos of the scene.
A news release from state police said a man lost control of the Honda Accord he was driving on I-95 South near exit 30, hit a guardrail and went down an embankment, around 9:17 p.m.
One passenger in the car, 18-year-old Destiny Nayobe Arriaga, of Bridgeport, sustained serious injuries and died hours later at Bridgeport Hospital, according to state police.
The driver and the other passenger sustained minor injuries.
Police are investigating.
