Horrific Crash
Two people died in a fiery crash that involved several tractor-trailers and a school bus on I-84 in East Hartford on Monday. State police said two of the trucks and the school bus were stopped in traffic in the eastbound lanes of the highway when a third tractor-trailer crashed into the school bus, killing the bus driver and the driver of the third truck. Home Alone
A New Haven mother was arrested Thursday after police said she left her 3-month-old and 4-year-old children home alone. A housing inspector first noticed the children were left alone. The kids, were taken into custody by the Department of Children and Families. For more on the incident, click here.

Firefighter Stabbed
A Hartford Fire Department lieutenant is recovering after he was stabbed. Lt. Roman Carter barely survived the Sunday night attack, according to Hartford's fire chief. Police arrested Carter's brother, Joshua Carter, 27, and charged him with the stabbing. See what police say led to the altercation here.
Remembering the Heroes
Thousands came to the shores of Normandy, France on Thursday to pay tribute to those who stormed those same beaches 75 years ago on D-Day. Many at the 75th anniversary ceremony were soldiers who survived the invasion that was the beginning of the end of WWII. For more on the remembrance, click here.
Father Fights Off Shark
A North Carolina father is being called a hero for punching a shark that was attacking his 17-year-old daughter on Sunday. Charlie Winter wouldn't let up until the shark released the girl.
