Malloy Wants $2 Billion in State Employee, Union Concessions: Reports

In addition to thetax increases Gov. Dannel Malloy proposed on Monday, he also plans to ask state employees and unions for $2 billion in concessions, according to reports.

The $2 million would come from salary and union concessions over the next two years, and would have to be negotiated, the Connecticut Post reports.

Malloy told state employees two weeks ago that current compensation levels would not be sustainable, the CT Mirror reports.
