A U.S. Navy sailor has been charged with two counts of sexual assault to a minor, state police said.
Albert Miguel Bustamante, who is enlisted in the Navy as machinist mate, was arrested on Thursday after police launched an investigation in June 2015.
Police reported that Bustamante sexually assaulted a 15-year-old from Hebron.
Bustamante is a machinist mate fireman who was stationed in Groton from Dec. 2014 to May 2015 before being relocated to Maryland, according to a representative for the Navy. He enlisted in the Navy in 2013.
No other information was provided at this time.
