New Haven police are investigating a reported home invasion that happened Monday night.
Police said a resident of Judson Avenue reported two men forced into his home and robbed him.
The 30-year-old victim told police he was inside his apartment when someone knocked on the window around 10 p.m. Thinking it was his brother, he opened the door. He said that was when an intruder charged at him.
Police said the victim tried to fight the intruder but a second man entered the home and put a gun to his head. At that point the victim stopped struggling and complied with their demands. The victim told police the suspects kept asking where the money was.
The suspects fled with $200 and several pairs of sneakers. Some of the sneakers were later found discarded nearby.
