Southington police are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man who was found at the base of a ridge on Saturday morning.
Eric Alberti, 50, of Southington, left his parent’s home on Friday and walked up into the mountainous terrain on the east side of Copper Ridge , police said.
When he did not make it home, his family went looking for him and found him at the base of a ridge in the area of 305 Copper Ridge, police said.
Police responded at 9:07 a.m. on Saturday and Alberti was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police called his death untimely, but said there are no indications of foul play and the case is under investigation.
