East Haven police notified parents that a high school band teacher was verbally abusive towards several school students.
A parent told police that the East Haven High School teacher was verbally abusive to her son and other students, police said.
Police determined that the issues discussed do not meet the criteria for an arrest of the teacher and the school will handle the incident internally.
There have been no charges filed.
