Route 79 has reopened in Durham after a structure fire closed both sides of the road Friday afternoon.
The road was closed at Sand Hill Road and drivers were being asked to take alternate routes for several hours. The fire was reported at about 3:15 p.m. and has since been put out.
It's unknown if there are any injuries at this time. No additional information was immediately available.
