Several State Parks Closed After Reaching Capacity

Some state parks are closed after reaching parking capacity.

Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden, Wadsworth Falls State Park in Middletown, Paugussett State Forest in Newtown and Kettletown State Park in Southbury are all closed for the day.

Collis P. Huntington State Park in Redding closed earlier in the day after the parking lot reached capacity.

Scantic River State Park and Powder Hollow in Enfield closed after reaching parking capacity earlier in the morning.

Kent Falls State Park in Kent is closed for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic "due to challenges in maintaining appropriate social distancing.
