Part of Fairfield Avenue in Norwalk is closed after a driver hit a wall and a tree.
Police said a vehicle that came off Interstate 95 went through the intersection of Fairfield Avenue at a high rate of speed and hit a stone wall and a tree.
The driver was taken to the hospital for injuries, but the extent of the injuries is not known.
Police said Fairfield Avenue is closed between Cedar Street and Reed Street and Reed Street is closed at Fairfield Avenue because of the crash.
Drivers are urged to take Route 1 or Flax Hill Road as alternate routes.
