Three people were taken to area hospitals on Thursday night after what police call a wrong-way crash on Interstate 84 in Hartford.
Octavia Goolsby, 27, of Hartford, Richard Asomaning, 24, of New Britain, and James Koprusak, 50, of New Britain, were all taken to Hartford Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
State police said Octavia Goolsby, 27, of Hartford, was driving the wrong way on Interstate 84 eastbound just before 11:30 p.m. and hit Asomaning.
Koprusak swerved to try to avoid the crash and struck the barrier.
This story has been updated to correct the name of the driver who was driving the wrong way. The original news release from state police incorrectly identified Asomaning as driving westbound in the eastbound lanes.
The highway was closed as state police investigated.
