Crews all over the state are combating cold weather and the effects it has on pipes.
Nineteen homes were without water Saturday morning after a water main break on Cassilis Road in West Hartford.
MDC officials said the 8-inch main was installed in 1948 and shut down around 6:30 a.m. Saturday. It was repaired as of 12:23 p.m.
Crews also repaired a water main break on Burnham Road in West Hartford. There were 13 homes affected when main was shut down at 9:30 a.m. Service was restored as of 4:30 p.m.
Connecticut Water crews were also busy.
Crews responded to a break on Main Street in Terryville Saturday.
Police said a possible break was first reported around 5 a.m. when residents in the area of 101 Main Street called in complaining of no water service. Connecticut Water and police began canvassing for a break and found it near the intersection Main Street and Makara Street.

There were 20 customers affected.
Another 25 customers in Danielson were affected by a water main break on Reynolds Street.
