Pasquale Di Filippo's daughter burst into tears when she saw a TV drama about the Sicilian mob depicted him torturing and killing people, he told an Italian newspaper.
Now the confessed killer who turned police informant is suing the network for 1 million euros, NBC News reported, disputing the show's portrayal of him as defamatory.
His 14-year-old daughter shouted at him "Dad, what have you done?" after she watched "Il Cacciatore" ("The Hunter") and will only leave her room to go to school, Di Filippo told La Repubblica.
NBC News reached out to Rai TV and the movie's production company for comment.
