A high-school football player from Washington state has died from injuries sustained in a game, officials said Monday, the second game-related death in just over a week, NBC News reported.
Highline Public Schools said in a statement that Kenney Bui, a senior at Evergreen High School, was "critically injured" during Friday night's game. He underwent surgery at Harborview Medical Center but died late Monday morning, the school district said.
Bui's age and the nature of his injuries weren't immediately clear. His death comes just over a week after a New Jersey high-school quarterback died after being injured in a varsity football came.
