The people who want to replace U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd will be fighting to prove they are the most worthy and well-spoken this week as they debate their opponents.
First up is the Democratic debate, where state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and Mystic businessman Merrick Alpert, will undergo a battle of the words at University of Hartford's Lincoln Theater from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, the Republican candidates square off. Former Congressman Rob Simmons, former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon and Fairfield County money manager Peter Schiff, will square off at the same time and place Tuesday.
Dodd is not running for re-election.
