Exclusive: Mike Commodore's five-star pick for Super Bowl XLIII

Many of you no doubt remember the photo of Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Mike Commodore "making it rain on himself" with $100 bills; and by that we mean you've been unable to forget it, despite the therapy.

What's frequently lost in that infamous story is the origin of the money: Commodore actually pocketed $3,000 in winnings from the Carolina Hurricanes Super Bowl party a couple of years ago, which is quite a healthy haul.

So with Super Bowl XLIII looming this Sunday between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals, we asked Mike Commodore for his stone-cold, five-star, lead-pipe lock selection for the game.

From Commodore, via e-mail:

"I see the final score being 20-17 in favor of Pittsburgh. I think it's going to be a close game. The big question for me is going to be how does AZ's defense play. Pitt's D is awesome, AZ's offense is awesome. Pitt's offense is pretty good, if AZ's defense can make some plays if think it will be a great game.

"I'd like to see AZ win, but I just don't think they have quite enough. Pitt is an excellent football team. But Pitt is favored by 7 or 7.5 points right now, and I think it will be a 3-point game.

"So I'm cheering for the Cards ... if they keep it within seven, I might be breaking out my digital camera again."

Oh dear. Not sure if the Internet can handle another Mike Commodore money shot.
