If heavy metal's your cup of tea, then you probably don't say cup of tea. But you will want to head to the Oakdale tonight to see Megadeth and Slayer.

OLD SCHOOL HEAVIES:  Back in the day, there weren't two bigger Heavy Metal bands than Slayer and Megadeth.  And tonight, the headbanging returns to Connecticut.  The two bands will shred their way to the Oakdale in Wallingford for their American Carnage Tour.  Tickets are $39.50-$209.50.  The banging begins at 7 p.m.

ALPHABET BANDS:  Bruce Springsteen has the E Street Band.  So what better way to pay tribute to the Boss (no, not the late George Steinbrenner), than with the B Street Band.  The has set the standard for Springsteen tribute bands, performing not only the hits, but a wide selection from Bruce's entire catalog.  It's as close as your going to get to the real thing.  Tonight, the B Street Band will play a free show at the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den.  The show starts at 8 p.m.

PHOTO SURREALISM:  Head to Plantsville section of Southington tonight to check out a unique photography exhibit.  The Paris in Plantsville Gallery is displaying the works of Ross Fredella and Bradley WollmanWollman's "The Little War" consists of photo-reconstructions of images from the Iraq War using toy soldiers and diorama materials.  Meantime Fredella uses the film process to observe his personal surroundings.
