    The Rhode Island Teacher of the Year's official White House visit photo is going viral.

    In the caption he posted on Facebook, Nikos Giannopoulos said, "Rhode Island Teacher of the Year 2017 meets the 45th President of the United States. That's all."

    The photo depicts Giannopoulos holding a black lace fan and a Pride pin on his suit standing behind the desk in the Oval Office, with President Donald Trump in the middle and First Lady Melania Trump to the president's left.

    Many of the comments on Giannopoulos' photo are positive.

    "Fabulous, dahling, simply fabulous! Well done!" one person wrote.

    Giannopoulos is a special-education teacher and coordinator at the Beacon Charter High School for the Arts in Woonsocket, according to the Rhode Island Department of Education. He also co-teaches algebra, chemistry and filmmaking.
