Rapper Fetty Wap Injured in Motorcycle Crash: Police

Rapper Fetty Wap has been injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in his northern New Jersey hometown, authorities said.

The 25-year-old entertainer was said to be in stable condition at ST. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, where he was being treated for undisclosed injuries after his motorcycle collided with a car, said Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale. Wap's injuries are not considered life-threatening, he said.

Wap's motorcycle slammed into the side of a car making a turn from Park Avenue onto 30th Street in Paterson, investigators said.

A woman driving the car, whose name wasn't released by police, was injured when the vehicle's two airbags deployed. She was also take to St. Joseph's hospital.

Police ticketed Wap for unlicensed and uninsured operation of a vehicle and with failure to produce a vehicle registration.

Wap, who was born Willie Maxwell, has had a lot of success in the past year with three Top-10 songs, including the hit "Trap Queen," which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

His debut album, "Fetty Wap," was released Friday.
