Suspects Sought in West Hartford Bank Robbery

Police are looking for two men who robbed a West Hartford bank and assaulted a security guard on Thursday.
 
Police said two suspects entered the Sovereign Bank located at 1040 Boulevard in West Hartford around 3:30 pm.

One of the suspects approached a bank teller and handed her a note. The teller then gave the robber an unspecified amount of money.

As the teller was handing over the cash, a second suspect entered the bank assaulted a security guard and waited at the door police said.

The suspects then fled the bank into a waiting car described as a tan colored Toyota Camry with a factory spoiler. They were last seen heading west on Boulevard.

The security guard was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Both suspects are black men in there 20’s. The first suspect has an average build with a goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue and yellow striped polo shirt, blue jeans, and a tan colored hat with a small brim.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a light colored T-shirt with no visible writing, dark colored shorts, and a dark colored baseball hat with a straight brim.
