Police are investigating after a man held a gun to workers at Marshalls on Hale Road in the Buckland Hills area of Manchester on Thursday morning, locked them in an office and fled with cash.

The robber hid behind a pillar on Thursday morning, according to police.

When a bus dropped off workers, he pointed a gun at a female worker’s head, forced his way into store and made workers take him to the back office, where cash was, police said.

The man locked the workers into an office, took off with undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

Another employee showed up to work, noticed something wasn’t right and called 911.

Police said the man was wearing a black ski mask at the time of the robber.

They were looking for a 5-foot-9 man with a southern accent but called off the search as of 8:45 a.m.
