The crash happened on the Montville-Salem town line, according to state police.

Two Hurt in Montville Crash

Two people were injured in  serious crash on Route 85 in Montville by the Salem town line.

Both sides of the road were closed for more than an hour.

Two cars were involved in the head-on collision around 4:30 p.m. Friday.  Two people were taken by ambulance to Backus Hospital in Norwich, according to Chesterfield Fire Chief Keith Truex.

The road reopened just after 6 p.m.
