There are major delays on Interstate 84 after an early morning tractor-trailer crash on the eastbound side of the Rochambeau Bridge and traffic is backed up between Southbury and Newtown.
The crash happened between exits 11 and 13 around 2 a.m. and the truck is still there because it’s in an “unstable position,” according to police, which makes it difficult to move.
Police said the truck will remain there at least through morning rush.
The back-ups extend to Newtown and the west side of the highway is congested through Southbury.
There is also a three-car crash at exit 14 westbound.
